Fitness Friday: Inside BODYBAR Vinings

Fridays are usually for unwinding, but this one? It was for showing up and I’m glad I did.

BODYBAR Vinings

BODYBAR Vinings

I got invited to the grand opening of BODYBAR Pilates – Vinings location, and instead of rushing into the weekend, I chose to slow it down with movement, community, and a little post-work joy. The event blended fitness and lifestyle in the most handpicked way. From a full Pilates workout to vendors serving up everything from fresh juice to permanent jewelry.

The space itself was sleek, clean, and welcoming. I walked in and immediately got that “OK, this is niceeee” feeling. I checked in figuratively and literally and honestly, it was *such* a reset. Challenging, but not overwhelming. Intentional, not intense. The perfect end to a busy week.

Also, shoutout to my instructor, Ms. Cleo. She was fun, energetic, and gave such a hands-on experience.

And let’s talk about the vendors—because they too were such a key piece in making everything flow.

I got a custom anklet from Get Lit Atlanta, the permanent jewelry brand, and it felt like the perfect souvenir for the night. Drybar Vinings was on-site with mini freebies and hair tips (and you know I love a good blowout moment). I grabbed a wellness shot and a green juice from Kwench Juice Café Atlanta that actually hit the spot—fresh, bright, and a nice balance to the sweet mini bundts from Nothing Bundt Cakes, which were honestly a vibe on their own.

This wasn’t a loud, overhyped event. It was calm, Abs-olutely core-geous, and full of people…kind of just doing their own thing. And that’s the kind of energy I want more of: less hustle, more intention.

So yes, I worked out. However, I also showed up for myself. I met a few local creators, supported small businesses, and walked out with a new anklet, a full heart, and a clear mind. Sometimes, that’s more than enough.

Mat’s all, folks!
